General Meeting: There will be a UMW General Meeting on November 30 at 6:15 p.m. at the church. Please mark your calendar.
UMW Circles: All Women are invited to attend these UMW Circles which are dedicated to supporting missions.
- Bertha Wainwright Circle will meet Sept. 12 at 7:30 PM at Elizabeth Callaham’s, 898-5363.

The first combined meeting of the York River  District UMW Mission Team and Unit Presidents,
was held on 24 September 2011 at Bethany
UMC-Gloucester. It was well attended and considered a great success.

Advent Breakfast is fast approaching! If you
have not already done so, mark your calendars for Saturday, December 3rd at 9:30 am.
Send in your reservations and checks (meal is $10.00) made out to the York River District UMW to Melissa White, 109 Dawson Crescent, Seaford, VA 23696 on or before November 20th and on December 3rd, meet your UMW sisters at Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church, 1024 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA for the first annual York River UMW Advent Breakfast!
Our speaker is Sue Boltz who is the Virginia Conference UMW Coordinator of Membership, Nurture and Outreach whom you will find delightful! Sue will bring greetings to us from the Virginia Conference Mission Team and will encourage and inspire us to Walk with Wholeness as United Methodist Women. |

- Stole "Hand Painting Day" - 1:00 -4:00 pm - Saturday, February 18 at First UMC Hampton - Shan's
Girl Scout troop is hosting the party ... and ALL children from the district's
churches are invited to participate.
March 31st - Spritual Growth Retreat and Social Actions - Child Abuse Prevention
Program - Saturday, March 31st @ Warwick Memorial UMC - More
details (speakers, children's activies/participation) will be announced
later. We are looking for children/youth to participate in the program
(praise dancers, choir, musicians ... etc.) Contact Melissa White

your church's children/youth group would like to be apart of the program.
