Yorktown Chorale
The Yorktown Chorale was founded in January 1994 to provide an opportunity for singers to perform classical and popular choral works in their original style.  The Chorale is an outgrowth of the chorus formed for the Yorktown Tri-Centennial Celebration.

Janet has been involved with the Yorktown Chorale since its inception and has served as the director since 2002.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance, and a Master of Music in Music History from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Her 30 year career includes directing choirs, choruses, and theatre productions in both the United States and Europe.  She has also appeared as the feature soloist in numerous productions.
Miriam Davis returned to the Chorale as accompanist in September 2007 after a short sabbatical. Miriam holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from The College of William and Mary.  She has been a valued member of the Chorale since it was formed.  She is well known in the York County and Hampton Roads area as organist, pianist and accompanist.
